Vincent has been familiar with houseboating long before it was even known in Germany. He first showed his wife this adventure on the Canal du Midi on an Albacor. Back then, you had to fill up the boats yourself using canisters, and comfort was very limited. This is in stark contrast to today, where we can offer boats where you can enjoy complete luxury. Vincent Ventelou came to Germany over 30 years ago for love. Since then, he has been your contact for regional boats – particularly France – and their equipment, and he always finds a solution or practical suggestion for your needs. Use his expertise for your dream houseboat vacation. The agency is one thing, but until 2003 the Ventelou family lacked their own charter company. In 2003, Vincent and his wife Hella founded Revier Charter GmbH and have been the managing director of their own charter company on the beautiful lake district in Fürstenberg, Brandenburg, ever since.

Isabelle Ventelou has been involved with water sports since childhood. She took her first houseboat tour at the age of three and has been an integral part of houseboats ever since. The German-French native also gained experience on three-masted ships. After studying International Tourism Management in the Netherlands, she has been an integral part of Bootsreisen Ventelou for more than 10 years. She takes care of marketing and organization and always finds great deals for our customers - she always knows where to look. She enjoys snooping around for new things on the houseboat market and tracking them down for our customers. She has also managed her own charter company, Revier Charter, for 8 years. She is the base manager in Fürstenberg/Brandenburg, highly valued by customers and the team.

For over 30 years, Hella Ventelou has been the heart and soul of Ventelou Boat Trips. It all started on a typewriter in the kitchen. Back then, offers were typed and sent by mail. Thirty years later, almost everything is done online and much faster, but the people behind it have remained the same. Hella Ventelou has been a professional since the beginning of houseboat charters in Germany in 1989. She founded the first houseboat agency in Germany and quickly made a name for herself in the industry. Even today, she still attends trade fairs to ensure direct customer contact, which is very important to her, and is always available to our customers by phone, email, or in person.
