The southern route is the cruise along the Saône. It's well-suited for a detour along the Seille River to Louhans. Along the way, you'll pass interesting places like Chalon-sur-Saône. The city is considered the birthplace of photography: In 1826, Joseph Nicéphore Niépce took the world's first photograph here. A museum not far from the marina vividly illustrates the rapid history of photography.
